This document summarizes the production process for a double page spread. The author created a new document in Quark with facing pages and added column guides. An image made in Photoshop with layered text and shapes was imported. Text and shapes were then added to the image to separate the main text from subtext, and font colors were adjusted for clarity and contrast between questions and answers.

2. This is the beginning of the production for my double page
spread. I created a new document in Quark with the
pages facing each other (to represent a double page
spread) and added column guide lines to help when
positioning the text and images.

3. I then used the image tool to draw a box to the same size
of the page and imported an image I had earlier made in
photo shop. The image was made in photoshop by
layering an image over a background and adding shapes
and text for information and so that the text can be read.

4. I then added the text and the shapes (to separate the
main text from the sub text at the end of the interview). I
changed the font colours so that the question and answers
were contrasting and this also made it clearer to read.
