The Dormitory of Jakabhegy was built in the late 19th century to house students attending the nearby Protestant Theological Seminary. It has served continuously as student housing since that time, undergoing renovations over the decades to modernize facilities while maintaining its historic architecture. Today it remains an important resource for accommodating students pursuing religious studies in the city.
