1. PROJECT 2 – FESTIVALS, FIESTAS & CELEBRATIONS
TOPIC
You are going to design a “powerpoint presentation” or “video” to promote
the festivals, fiestas and other interesting events in your area. The project is
for tourists who might visit your area.
RESEARCH (INVESTIGATION)
1. Find out the names, dates and places of events (festivals or
celebrations) in your area. Get information from your local tourist
information centre or look it up on the internet.
2. Decide which events are the most interesting. Try to include events
from all parts of the year (not just summer).
PREPARATION
1. Write a short paragraph to describe each event, including practical
information such as times, places, prices etc. Find an official link
(www. .) for each event for people who want to find out more.
2. Find photos, maps, posters, timetables and so on to illustrate each
event you have described.
3. Design a “powerpoint” or “video” presentation for your project, giving
clear information.
4. Design a page for each event.

1. WORK in groups of 3.
2. USE future tenses sush as “On the 12th October you will come across
Ntra Sra del Pilar celebration in Guarnizo” or the passive voice.
3. Remember: when you present your project to the whole class, you MUST
SPEAK, BUT NOT READ. PAPERS WON´T BE PERMITTED.
4. You MUST DO the task.
5. You MUST PRESENT your work as part of the evaluation.
