This document proposes a private standard for the dimensions of a specialized cast iron manhole cover. It specifies the main dimensions, including an overall diameter of 770mm for the lid piece, a top opening diameter of the frame of 775mm, and an inner opening diameter of the frame ranging from 825 to 1000mm to fit various manhole sizes. Reinforcing ribs are included in the lid and frame designs. The proposed standard aims to specify dimensions for this specialized manhole cover product in concordance with regional standards like EN124, and could take the form of a pre-standard, product standard, technical specification, or other standard type according to terminology in EN45020:2006 or ISO/IEC 2:2004.

For Dada art is no comfortable armchair (but a piece of furniture or a business investment)! For Dada art is the unexpected appearance of thought and beauty, which is just as unpredictable, single and unrepeatable as life itself.
Let’s just free Her from the captivity of museums, exhibition halls, galleries, literary magazines or reading sessions and present art in the streets!
A project made up by the Dunaway Gallery attempts to make Tristan Tzara’s literary works widely known by placing parts and verses of his Dadaist poems and manifestos on 20 outdoor benches.
The artists Zsolt Dóró, Dániel Farkas, Attila Nyakas and Norbert Szabó merged their visual worlds with the visual motives and the morals of Tzara’s poems. The poems and manifestos appear on the back of the benches, both the extracts and the full texts. Every single bench is an individual work of multidisciplinary art. They have functional aims and bring art close to the public. The project was realized in the form of an unconventional outdoor exhibition on the Danube Battery of Szentendre. Now the benches are waiting to go to the streets of Zurich next spring to be able to herald that art is no comfortable armchair but an outdoor bench we can sit on.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

DN775 - Grey Cast Iron Manhole Cover - 400 kN
1. A PROPOSAL ON THE SUBJECT OF PRIVATE STANDARDIZATION
THE SUBJECT OF PRIVATE STANDARD DEVELOPMENT
Date of proposal:
Secretariat of Organization
TCs
WGs
Author of proposal:
THE PROPOSAL
Title of proposal:
"Dimensions of special product of vehicular area manhole cover, of round opening, of cast iron
construction, size DN.775mm or 30.70in (D.770/775), and 360, 400, 600, 900 kN loading class."
Material: - grey cast iron - of grade to fit the loading class in compliance with thicknesses of pieces.
The document proposal comes to settle up a dimensional based private standard document (as case, a
publication / deliverable) concerning the dimensions of special product of a street manhole cover which may be in concordance with requirements of one or more regional basic standard(s) of
cast/ductile iron manhole covers, - e.g. the regional CEN standard - "EN124 - Gully tops and manhole
tops for vehicular and pedestrian areas. Design requirements, type testing, marking, quality control", or, with other basic standard concerning street or residential area, manhole covers - as long the basic
standard (e.g. as the EN124 is) does not apply for dimensions of special products of manhole covers.
Thus, the proposed private standard document (norm) aims to specify the main dimensions for a
special product of a cast iron vehicular area manhole cover of DN.775mm/ 30.70in, of round opening;
- and must, as case may be, completed with other standards which refers to testing, marking, quality
control. (e.g. the EN124 CEN standard).
Short description of design related to product and main dimensions:
> Round (circular) frame with round opening;
- overall dia. of lid piece: 770mm (30.3125in),
- top opening of frame: dia. 775mm (30.50in), - round,
- top dia. of frame: 820...825mm (~32.375in), - round
- inner opening of base of frame - dia. 825; 920; (995)/1000mm (32.50; 36.25; 39.375in),
to fit a 800mm (32.5in), 36in (915mm), 1000mm dia. of manhole top opening.
- clearance (clear opening) of frame, - about 710...718mm ( 28...28.25in),
- 4 vent/key holes of about 40 sq.cm. (~6.20sq.in) at all clear opening;
which also allow an easy opening using common tools,
- optional, blocks for locking system fixing may be added, - on backside of lid piece.
As conclusion, the proposed document (norm) aims to specify the main dimmensions for a special
product of a cast iron vehicular area manhole cover of DN.775mm (D.770/775) / 30.70in round
opening; - and must, as case may be, completed with other standards which refers to testing, marking,
quality control. (e.g. EN124 CEN standard).
The type of public standard document, as we consider the proposal may later transform into:
> concerning the therminology of EN45020:2006 description: - prestandard (3.3), product standard
(5.4), technical specification (3.4), unilaterally aligned standard (6.8), - all of these to complete with
the EN124 CEN standard which is a basic standard (5.1).
> concerning the therminology of ISO/CEI-2:2004: - international standard (3.3), technical
specification (3.4), technical report (3.5), publicly available specification (3.7).
