This document outlines the rounds of family reunions held between North and South Korea from August 2011 to October 2016. It also discusses the advocacy work of Saemsori, a project of the Eugene Bell Foundation, to help Korean Americans reunite with family members in North Korea. Between 80 and 104,000-500,000 Korean Americans are estimated to have relatives in North Korea but few have been able to reunite through South Korean programs. Saemsori lobbied Congress to establish a commission to address this issue.
