Brevity of life
James 4:13 Come now, you that say, Today or
tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue
there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
James 4:14 Whereas you know not what shall be
tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor,
that appears for a little time, and then vanishes
away.
James 4:15 For you ought to say, If the Lord wills,
we shall live, and do this, or that.
Judgment
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men
once to die, but after this the judgment:
1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment
must begin at the house of God: and if it first begins
with us, what shall the end be of them that obey not
the gospel of God?
1 Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be
saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner
appear?..............................ref. 1 Tim. 3:15 (but if)
Righteous know and ask.?
Turn to Matt.25:34
I can’t take it with
me
God gave it to me
Can I use my
resources to guide
others to God
How does God view
me
Self sacrificing
How does this
please God?
Scarcely
Or Narrow
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate:
for wide is the gate, and broad is the way,
that leadeth to destruction, and many there
be which go in thereat:
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and
narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life,
and few there be that find it.
Why develop 20/20 spiritual vision?
1. Because it pleases God
2. Because it is the best life
3. So that we can lead others to Christ
4. Because judgment is sure!
5. The results of the judgment are eternal!
Ecclesiastes 12
• Turn with me please
Go, Baptize, Teach
• Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came to them and
spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been
given unto me in heaven and on earth.
• Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:
• teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I
commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even
unto the end of the world.
