Products Overview
SQJ, SQS, SQY, Series submersible pumps widely used in farmland irrigation, spray
irrigation and water-use, industrial and civil buildings, also the drainage system to
level hills, mountain diversion and in low-lying areas dunes, urban and rural mining
supply, drainage and other water conservancy facilities. Characteristics are that they
are assembled into a simple structure they have installation convenience a small
footprint, simple maintenance and a safe reliable operation.
Product use conditions
1. SQJ Submersible pumps use conditions:
（ 1 ） 380 V bias voltage does not exceed +/-10% and 50 HZ frequency, and the
deviation is not more than + -1% of the three-phase power supply.
（2） Electrical cavity must be filled with water during operation.
（3）The first-class pump impeller should at least go into a dynamic water level 2 m
below surface. Static pump unit immersed under water shall not be greater than 70 m
in depth.
(4)The normal water temperature should be no higher than 20 ° C, QJR- hot water
pump temperature up to 80 ° C.
(5)Water and sand content (by mass) of not more than 0.01%.
(6)Water PH 6.5-8.5.

(7)The hydrogen sulfide in water content is not more than 1.5 mg / L.
2. SQS Bearing submersible pumps usage conditions:
(1)Power: 50 Hz frequency and voltage of 380 volts (allowing deviations +5% -10%)
of the three-phase AC power. Pumps should be safe submerged operations, diving
depth of not less than 0.5 meters.
(2)Water: general corrosion without water, sand volume is not 0.02%, PH: 6.5 ~ 8.5,
extracting the water temperature no higher than 30 ° C.
3. SQY Oil Immersed submersible pumps use conditions:
Submersible pumps submerged depth of not more than 5 m; Water temperature does
not exceed 40 ° C; water sediment or water insoluble solid mark of the volume ratio
of not more than 0.1%, particle size less than 0.2mm, water pH value of 6.5 ~ 8.

Installation guide:
Installation equipment and facilities
1. Set of sling chains ( over 2 ton capacity)
2. Tripod with a vertical of height over 4m
3. Two pendant cord (steel wire rope) bearing a weight of in excess of 1 ton
4. Two sets of ply board
5. Spanner, Hammer, Screwdriver, Electrician tools and Instruments
Pump installation
1. A Submersible electric pump with a head below 30m can use a hose, and can be
hoisted directly into the well using the steel wire rope or other lifting rope (manila
etc.) that can bear the whole weight of the pump body, the water pipe and the
water in it.
2. A pump with a head over 30m can use a steel pipe, the sequence of erection can be
seen below:
A. First at attach the upper end of the pump to the lifting gear (ensuring the motor
and pump are well connected and held firmly) and lift using the sling chains,
hoisting the pump into the well slowly until the ply boards are set on the mouth of
the well.
B. Using another ply board attach one pipe and lift it to the point of 15cm away from
the flange, hoist the pump slowly into the well, insert the rubber mat well between
the flange and pump flange , forcibly tighten the screw, nut and the spring pad of
the pump.
C. Lift the submersible pump a little bit and remove the ply board on the upper end
of the pump. Tie the cable on the pipe using plastic tape etc., hoist the pipe slowly
and set down the ply board on the mouth of the well.
D. Use the same method to attach and hoist all the pipes into the well.
E. Connect the cable to the controlling switch and access three phase powers.

Notes: during installation process
1. If in the event that the pump gets stuck whilst submerging, turn or move the water
pipe to overcome the point of contact. If this problem cannot be solved; do not
hoist or lower the pump forcibly; this will avoid damaging the pump and or the
well.
2. Rubber mats (gaskets) should be fitted on the flanges of each pipe when installing
and tightened forcibly to ensure a good seal.
3. Calculate the exact depth that the pump reaches in the well according to the
conditions of quick-sand and or sludge. Do not put the pump into the sludge. The
foundation of the submersible pump should be more than 3m away from the
bottom of the well.
4. The underwater penetration should be more than 1-1.5m of the dynamic water to
the water after, or the pump will be damaged.
5. The head of the pump cannot be too low. Or valves should be equipped on the
water pipe to control the pump flow ensuring it will stay close to the rated flow
point or the pump thus avoiding damage to the motor in result of an excessive
flow rate.
6. When the pump is working, the water flow should be in good balance and the
current smooth (the max. current cannot overpass the rated the current of the
motor), no shaking and noises should be witnessed, if any, measures must be
taken to solve it.
7. The pump shall be put in the middle of the well pump after being hoist into the
well. The pump shall not be allowed to lean against the wall of the well this will
avoid premature failure, shaking and motor burn out (overheating).
Electric insulating treatment of the cable connector
The cable connector:
Use a knife cut off 120mm rubber cover from the extracted cable and matching cable,
seal the separating part of the two ends of the cable, then separate the three lines in
star shape. Put the well packed (twisted) lines in the water for about 12 hours, use the
mega meter to check and make sure electric resistance more than 159M omega.
Maintenance
1. After the submersible pump is well installed, recheck each and every step. If no
problem is found, then it is ok to start the pump to perform a test.
2. Ensure there is no noise and shake from the installation. The pump can be on line
for work as soon as the test provides a satisfactory result.
3. Stop the pump and the motor after it has been working for four hours on initial
usage; this will help the installation settle.
4. The pump should be rested for about five-ten minutes after the pump stops
working to avoid the water in the pipe returning results in damaging themotor.
5. In order to extend the using time of the pump, regular examination should be
made to the pump after it enters normal working. If there is any problem, the
pump should be stopped immediately and measures taken to solve these problems

until the pump is in good condition once again.
6. The pump works at a rated 2500 hours each year, examine and repair the pump
once a year, change easy damaged partsregularly.
Taking care of the Pump
1. Open the drain screw to drain out all the water (especially in winter to avoid
damaging the motor) and pack the cable well.
2. Keep in a room with a temperature of 40 centigrade with no corrosion matters and
or gas.
3. Keep the pump clean if not in use for a long time.
Safety equipment and breakdown management
1. Our company requires the user to meet or exceed all the safety standards as
described below the equipment and precautions should be fitted and taken
respectively:
a. The safety switch is the protecting equipment of the submersible pump to start
and run. It can monitor the working of overload and working in low current to
keep the pump work safely.
b. The function of the valve is adjusting the head and flow of the pump to a
standard scope to avoid overload and extend the using time of the pump.
c. Cable: we strongly recommend the user adopt the cable that matches the motor
or the motor will become hot for overload result in the resistance cover of the
cable aging over fast and do harm to human life.
2. Earth connection line: as for the submersible pump in the well, our company will
provide the lines according to the requirement of the user.
Attention: the extracting part of the earth connection line must be connected well with
the earth, as to the exact specification, please resort to host nation’s different
standards.
