The Girls Group is collecting toiletries and other items in shoeboxes distributed to classrooms starting Monday to donate to families in Simcoe County women's shelters for the holidays. Students are asked to fill the shoeboxes with donated items from the provided list, and the Girls Group will collect the filled boxes this Thursday to help bring smiles to people's faces during the season.
1. Every year, women are forced into shelters throughout Simcoe
County. This season, The Girls Group wants to help out!
Starting Monday, you will find a shoebox in your classroom. We ask
that your class fill it with toiletries and other items to provide these
families with some much needed items, a list of these items will be
attached to your shoebox.
Please remember, we will be picking these up on Thursday.
Help the Girls Group bring a smile to someone’s
face this holiday!

9. SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL
The sr. boys basketball traveled to Parry Sound this weekend for a
tournament. After dropping the first game to Sudbury’s Notre Dame, the
went on to the finals to beat Jean Vanier 38-34, but lost in the consolation
final to Bracebrige.
Honorable mention to Derek Niessl, who averaged 10 points a game
throughout the tournament with almost 5 steals a game. Devlyn Lohnes
averaged 8 points/game, over 5 rebounds/game and 3 steals/game. With
only 8 players, everyone contributed, including Gavin Proud and Jacob
Underhill who got pulled up from the junior team.
