Dear Ms. McNamara,
This letter is to officially notify you of your induction into the 2015 University of North Carolina
at Pembroke Athletics Hall of Fame. Our Hall of Fame was founded to honor, pay tribute to and
perpetuate the memory of those individuals who, either through participation, support or interest, have
made outstanding contributions in the field of intercollegiate athletics and who have helped to bring
recognition, honor, distinction and excellence to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I know
that you are very deserving of this honor and it pleases me to be able to notify you of this achievement.
The seven-members honored this year include: PJ Smith (wrestling coach), Mike Heath
(basketball), Deb McNamara (volleyball), Brittany Berrier (softball). Buddy Bell (community
involvement), Joe Pugh (basketball) and Dick Lauffer (basketball coach). Each of the inductees will be
presented with bronze plaques that will commemorate this honor. All Hall of Fame inductees are
honored with a display in the Dobbs Enterprise Lobby in the English E. Jones Center.
HOF inductees are invited to be a part of the homecoming parade on Thursday, October l". All
inductees will meet outside the Jones Center at 3:00 pm to be shuttled to the parade start. We
recommend that you dress appropriate for weather.
The induction banquet, which will be held on Friday October 2"'', will be hosted on UNC
Pembroke's campus in the University Center Annex. Each inductee will receive eight (8) complimentary
tickets for the banquet. Additional tickets are available for $35 through the Advancement office by
calling (910)521-6252. All tickets will be available in your welcome packets upon arrival to campus.
The seven inductees will also be recognized at the Braves football game on October 2nd. The
contest against Tuskegee begins at 2 p.m. Two (2) tickets in the Chancellor's Box will be available for
each inductee as well as six (6) General Admission tickets. If you need additional tickets, they will be
available for purchase at the gate on game day or by calling GPAC at 910-521-6361.
We have reserved a block of rooms for October 1'* and 2"'^ at the Holiday Inn Express in
Lumberton, NC. Please contact Andrea Branch, Executive Assistant to the Athletics Director at (910)521-
