2. •For its 2014/15 season, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) will
bring 10 Broadway favorites to Colorado, including Tony Award winners. The
season will kick off with the tour launch of Pippin, which has been brought back to
Broadway in a Tony Award-winning revival after a successful run four decades ago.
Pippin will run for two weeks before giving way to Kinky Boots, a multi-award-
winning musical that tells the story of a shoe factory owner and the stiletto-wearing
entertainer who helped him turn around his business.
3. •As the season continues, the DCPA will also host several perennial favorites.
Annie, directed in this incarnation by its original lyricist and director, will play in late
April and early May of 2015. Motown the Musical will bring the hit songs of its titular
record label to stage in March and April of 2015. In addition, two smash hits, Wicked
and The Book of Mormon, will return to Denver in the late summer and early fall of
2015.
