And Dayton High did not disap-
point.
On a night featuring kings,
queens and floats, the DustDevils
crowned visiting North Thhoe, 20-
13, last Friday to cap th. weeHong
homecoming festivities.
Travis Wood's two field goals and
a pair of exta points proved to be
the diference against the Lakers.
The DustDevils' starting placekick-
er split tlre uprights from 29 yards
out to give his team a 10-6 halftime
advantage, then converted another in
the fourth quarter from 28 yards.
Dayton controlledthe ball andthe
clock through much of the first half.
On their second offensive series of
the game, the DustDevils had pos-
session ofthe football forthe last six
minutes of the first quartor and the
first few minutes of the second quar-
ter, head coach RickWalker said.
They marched 80 ymds down
field and capped the drive with a
one-yard touchdourn run by Justin
Cross
