Hi –
Below is a brief list of my past work experience:
• Editorial & Motion Capture Video pipeline - Disney IMD
• Live Action 3D (5 features) – Media Supervisor, Tape operations, workflow into Post
• VFX Post Production, ILM, IMD
• 4 Olympic Games - live and "plausibly live" events
• Video Streaming MCR Manager (signal acquisition & encoding)
• HD (DIT) certification
• High level client interaction
• Over 1,000 satellite & fiber transmissions
• Emmy award / DGA Member
I am known for calmly organizing, and making things run smoothly.
Four Mocap features, and five Live Action 3D features have taught me to pool all the various knowledge I have, in order to
develop end-user friendly, efficient workflow and organizational strategies.
The comprehensive Media Management system I created for live action 3D, is structured for large multicam projects and
saves valuable time going into Post. Beginning with U23D as the HD Tape Op and Manager, my system melded for
Hannah Montana 3D. Then it was requested for Justin Bieber (Never Say Never), Glee Live 3D, and had also become the
“Bible” to Post for Cirque du Soleil 3D. I have ended up translating Live TV style shoots, into Film Post language.
At Disney ImageMovers Digital, I was handed a crazy pile of non-standard, unusual, file based video (media) from the
Mocap stage. I learned about the capture process, and translated the video into necessary media for the first stages of
post, with no company plan or known post capture video requirements. Immediately, I reached out to learn, and construct
an effective pipeline…the Artists could not begin shots without “me”. For the next projects, I went on stage with a plan to
control how the media delivered to post, which proved to be a dynamic improvement for my niche of the pipeline.
Critical parts of that pipeline are now in use at Digital Domain, as they purchased IMDʼs Mocap System. I helped to
update and improve this system with DD, so they are assured of optimized deliverables.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards,
Dawn
