I was born and raised in Phillipsburg, NJ and graduated with
High Honors from Phillipsburg High School in 2010. I will be
graduating from the Stuckeman School of Architecture at the
Pennsylvania State University in May. The past two summers
I worked at Jay Madden Architect on Long Beach Island, NJ
where I learned valuable information on how a firm operates
and designs in the profession. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing,
surfing, and maintaining a tomato garden. I have wanted to
be an architect since I was five years old and my goal out of
college is to become a licensed architect as soon as possible.

7 Person Group Project for a Materials Class (2 Weeks)
Design and Build a Structure with Wooden Block Components
The idea is to have the structure completely suspended from the ceiling in order
to create a private lounge space that overlooks studio. We accomplished this by
designing a custom clamp that was strong enough to hold the structure of the
clubhouse that could occupy 8-10 people.

To conserve farming land by designing a facility that allows for plants to grow
vertically rather than horizontally. The building is designed to maximize sunlight to
the plants through designing a rotating crop machine. The building is built into the
hill and the program that does not require direct sunlight is under the plant-growing
machines.

Residence, Exhibition Space
The site is located behind a vacant factory and the idea is to show
deindustrialization in the form of architecture. The building closest to the factory
has heavy concrete like the heavy machines of old, and as the further away from
the factory the building slowly evolves into a light-weight and high-tech metal and
glass.

The group came up with the concept of weaving the 3 programtic elements with
one another and also weaving the site back into the city of Rome because the site
sits outside the old city walls of Rome. The Site sits on top of a Parking Garage
where we played with the topography of the land to allow easier access to the
garage while also guiding the visitors from one place to another.
