This document summarizes the minutes from a Validation Working Group meeting about databases and coding projects. The group discussed: 1) An update on the current TORPEDO project to develop a checklist of optimum and minimum required variables for respiratory research databases and create a repository characterizing existing databases against this checklist. Good progress has been made through an expert Delphi panel to identify most important variables. 2) Potential new project ideas and prioritizing them. The group will begin the next phases to further refine the minimally required variables and prioritize them.

The full scope of ideal variables for an ideal database have been
identified.
