1. Our Locations within our production…
Within the opening sequence of our film we choose three different locations to shoot in. These included an
office reception, a car park and a room within an office. We considered different location which we could
record our film in but we decided on an office like building. As a group we faced many issues when it came
to filming in a real life office, we attempted to film in a building in Croydon however the security guards
said we was unable to use their office facilities for health and safety reasons and also for security reasons.
From this we decided that recording in our school would be the best option and we would just attempt to
use the areas within the building which looked office like and which would portray our initial location best.
Once looking up different locations within the building we decided the car park would look effective as it
was busy with cars and it was also a fairly big place. For the office part of our production we decided to use
the new block within our school which looked very modern and could be mistaken for a floor within a
building. It was unfortunate that we did have to record within a school however we felt we done our best
in disguising this.

the building from the outside is made from glass and the overall area is fairly plain
and simple. In this clip Eduardo is sitting on a sofa so it makes it appear that he is The flower pot
waiting to get into the building or he is waiting for someone. in the

Due to the glass building you was able to see outside when filming and if you looked close enough for our chosen
you could see young people playing in the background, at first we felt this could be a problem but target audience.
when looking back at the footage we felt it give it more of a realistic feel and made it more known as
to what time we were filming during the day. We also thought that in any normal building there
would be action happening outside so it looked more lifelike and less staged.

3. These are screen shots from our film from the scene
which was shoot in the car park. As you can see we
choose the area of the car park where there were no
people but there was a vast amount of cars to enhance
the fact that this took place during the day.
I think that this scene is really
effective as there are clear noises in
the background of trains and birds
which makes it sound realistic and the
use of real life objects such as the cars
and the cones allow the audience to
relate to the setting and will also give
them a deeper insight as to what the
surroundings are like, the camera
angle also gives a larger view of the
area. As a group we felt that this was the most effective
part of our film and the use of different angles and
panning allows the audience to follow the actor’s
movement and follow the movement. Within this scene
we also added some editing techniques which we felt
worked well and give it a extra touch.

If we were to had filmed in a different location such as a real office building I think that there
would have been a similar environment so on the whole as a group the locations we choose
were the closest we would have got to the real life thing. However if we were to do this task
again and we able to film in a real office building we would ensure that we included a panning
angle so the audience could become more familiar with the scene.

5. This is a screen shot from the office room.I think that the modern
equipment within this room such as the computer, blinds, radiator and
office chair makes it seem more genuine and convinces the audience that
we were filming in an office like room.
The acting within this scene works well with the location, I think the use of moving the keyboard and
looking at the computer screen makes it feel like there is real life action going on. Before choosing
which room to use for this scene we had to consider if there were any posters on the wall or anything
which could suggest where we had filmed our production.
