Facebook in Vietnam: Can it encourage classroom community, language learning,...Hoang Tam
This presentation discusses using Facebook groups to build classroom community, encourage language learning, and promote academic success at a Vietnamese university. Three Facebook groups were created for a writing class: one for announcements, one for assignments, and one to display student work. Students interacted more both online and in class. Assignments focused on accuracy while discussions built fluency. The teacher could better understand student needs and provide timely support. Facebook may encourage learner autonomy, dealing with feedback, and using technology for learning.

The document presents a thesis on assessing the vulnerability of fisheries in Bangladesh to climate change using a composite index approach. It outlines the objectives to determine vulnerability of culture fisheries, capture fisheries, and overall fisheries. The methodology involves selecting exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity indicators; collecting data; calculating sub-indices; and standardizing indices to generate vulnerability scores. The results show northern districts have very high vulnerability for culture fisheries due to high exposure and low adaptive capacity.

Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

Jautės rojuj pabuvoję.
Tuo laiku jųjų dalis
Bastės po kitas šalis.
Vieni Graikijoj pleveno,26
Kiti Indijon klegeno. 48
Priešų šiaurėn pastūmėti;
Prie Eistenio (Boristenio, Dniepro) mestelėti.33
Pilkapių tenai daugybė,33
Mini jųjų prašmatnybę.
O nuo persų nukentėję,
Pasvebyn (prie Baltijos) jie pajudėję.33
AISČIŲ vardas jiems prilipo,
Ir ilgam toksai paliko. 4, 18, 22, 28
2. Kas vadina juos GUDAIS*,
Maišo su kitais vardais. 48
*žiūr. pabaigoje
AISČIŲ klajonės
Daug žvejojo, daug medžiojo
Ir vaikų primeistravojo.34, 48
Suspausti katrie pasjuto,
Laimę gaudyti sukruto.
Katrie su godais*` susdėjo,
Tie kariaut išmokt turėjo.34, 48
Visgodams katrie pritarę,
Romėnams bėdos pridarę.48
O kai laimė nusisuko,
Vėl šiaurėn dalis pasuko.33, 48
Daugel kraštų apkeliavę,
Prie savųjų grįžti gavę. 33, 48
Ir taip gal bent tris kartus
Aisčiai suko į pietus. 33, 48

Garbinga tauta
Taikūs žmonės mūsų kraštų
Buvo nuo seniausių laikų. 4, 9, 28
Dori, darbštūs ir garbingi,
O prireikus ir galingi.33
Taikiai jie gyvent ketino,
Kol kaimynai neskėsino.
Hermanrikui mus užvaldžius, 33
Tapome labai išvaizdūs. 10, 48
Jūros Svebų (Baltijos) ir Euksinų (Juodoji)
Ramstė galus mūsų sienų. 10, 48
O kai kojas jis (Hermanarikas) pakratė,
Likom visų atsikratę.
Skitų dideles platybes,33
Aisčiams teko suvaldyti. 48, 53
Bet neilgai šitaip truko,
Sarmatai prie Aisčų suko.33
Bendra AISČIŲ tauta
Mums suprasti tai rekėtų:
Bendra tauta buvo AISČIŲ. 9, 13, 23, 40
Kalba buvo visų viena,
Ir tikyba beveik viena.9, 40
Gamtos reiškiniais tikėjom,
Savo viešpatį turėjom.9, 27, 33
RUSIOS vardą tie nešiojom,33
Kurie pamaryj riogsojom.
Iš tos Rusios ir vikingai,
Slavus užvaldę juokingai.33
Riūrikas; Askolds ir Dyras,
Aisčių kraujo buvo vyrai.33
O kaimynai puldinėjo,
Užvaldyt mumis norėjo.33, 51
Svetimšaliams įsibraunant,
Gyventa juosius kariaujant.29, 33
Vietos žmonės ir ateiviai,
Negalėj gyventi meiliai. 49
Atsirado daug vadų
Skirtingiausių giminių.
Žinomiausi vadai
Prūsuos menam Vaidevutį, 15, 34, 49
Kaip darbščią miškų bitutę.
Su Bruteniu kartu veikė,15, 34
Niekas jų veiklos nepeikė.
Visą giminę subūrę,
Tvarką krašte greit atkūrė.34, 49
3. Su mozūrais daug kariavo,34, 49
Tautai kol ramybę gavo.
Palikuonių daug paliko,33, 49
Mažas kraštas jiems nebtiko.
Plito nuo Vistulos (Vislos) krantų,
Pro Kroną (Nemuną) iki Turunto
(Dauguvos).49, 56
Vaikai jųjų nesutarę,
Dėl to betvarkė pasdarė34
Priešams to ir tereikėjo,
Tautiečius teriot pradėjo.29, 34
Trokštant priešų atskratyti,
Vienybę reikėj brandinti.
Daugel metų šitap buvo,
Palemonas kol pribuvo.34, 56
Barkus, Kunas kaip ir Spera34
Primena mums seną erą.
Visam krašte pasisklaidę
Darę tvarką, puikiai valdę.34
Nors su priešais jie kariavo,
Bet ramybės vis negavo.
Kernius vadovaut gebėjo,
Dvi Kernaves jis turėjo.34
Žemaitijoj Gembuts veikė,34
Brolį Kernių vis palaikė.
Sumaniai nors broliai veikė,
Bet rūsėnų nesulaikė.33
Jaroslavs suįžulėjęs,34
Užnerį (Neromą) jis apturėjęs.4, 33
Bet neilgai užsilaikęs,
Kernius rusus greit išvaikęs.34
Erdvils (Erdvilas I) Kerniui daug padėjo,
Pamatus valstybei dėjo.34, 56
Nuo Kerniaus laikų, kaip vado,
Pradžia eLDėKa atsrado.33
Montvils, Skirmants, Erdvilai (I, II),
6, 34
Garsių yr vadų vardai.
Ringaudas
Ringauds – didis kunigaikštis, 20, 34, 44
Vėliau garbus karalaitis.
Kraštus giminių subūręs,
Jis valstybę stiprią kūręs.9, 20, 35, 44
Daug rūsėnų nugalėjęs,
Ir mongolus suturėjęs. 20, 35, 44
Livoniečiams įsibrovus,
Prie Užpalių juosius tramdęs.20, 35
Su samdiniais dar sugrįžus,
Saulės lauke visus mindęs. 31, 35, 44, 56
Dar rūsėnus su totoriais
Prie Magilnos iškapojęs.3, 18, 35, 44
Erdvils (II) – vado (Ringaudo) vyresnėlis,
Žymus buvo karvedėlis.20, 44
Abu broliai darniai veikę
Dėl to priešų daug įveikę.
Vykintas broliams padėjęs,
Artimų ryšių turėjęs. 39, 44, 45
Ringaudui staiga numirus, 20, 44
Maišalynė krašte kilus.
Mindaugas
Mindaugas tuo pasnaudojęs,
Kurt imperiją sumojęs.20, 44
Daug niekšybių jis pridaręs,
Žudęs, trėmęs, prievartavęs39, 44, 56
4. Su visais taip susipykęs,
Vidaus karas dėl to vykęs.44, 56
Tautą prie žūties privedęs,
Su kryžeiviais susimetęs.32, 40
Žemių daugel jiems užrašęs,4, 11, 39, 56
Žmonių norų nesupratęs.
Tikybą tautos išdavęs,
Ir pats gala greitai gavęs. 31, 33, 56
Kad nevykęs Mindaugs buvo,
Atminimas jo greit žuvo.41
Mažai kas jį beminėjo (300 m.),
Kol Strijkouskis pakilėjo.49
Katalikai tai pasgavę,
Jįjį garbinti pagavę.2, 5, 16, 17, 25, 28, 51
Nuo Treniotos iki Traidenio
Treniota, gal Vykintaitis,12, 29
O gal net ir Lengvinaitis (Ring. anūkas).16
Garsus buvo karvedys,7, 18, 28, 44
Mindaugo laikų vedlys.
Treniota, gal su Alminu,
Mindaugą smarkiai šokdino.7, 18, 28, 32
Durbės mūšiui vadovavo;18, 29, 44
Miklumu priešus prigavo.
Priešų daugel nugalėjęs.7, 18, 28, 44
Aisčių vienyt nebespėjęs.
Kraštui vadovaut galėjęs,
Piktais kėslais netikėjęs.
Dėl to galą greitai gavo,28, 29, 34
O Tėvynė vėl dejavo.
Metų dvidešimt kol slinko,8, 34, 56
Dešimt valdovų nulinko.
Tik Traideniui pasirįžus,18, 56
Ramybė į kraštą gįžus.
Priešus tramdė jis kietai,
Bet vėl žuvo nelauktai.56
Giminių lemtys
Prūsams padėt negalėjom,9, 28, 55
Todėl jie suvokietėjo.
Jotvingius lenkai pribaigę,25
Tuo vargai jų pasibaigę.35
Žemgaliai, lyviai pakriko,9
Ir jų greitai nebeliko.
Latviai priespaudą kėntėjo,
Bet ne visi vokietėjo.9, 18
Kryvičiai, kaip ir gudi,
Suslavėjo visiškai.56
Kuršiai, skalviai ir galindai
Giliai atmintyj belindi.35
Genocidu reik vadinti,
Aisčiai kaip buvo naikinti.4, 15
Vytenis Liutauraitis
Nuo Liutauro (Butvydo, Pukuvero) prasidėjo
Gedimino dinastija.4, 9, 35
Ariogaloj jisai (Liutauras) atstatė
Pilį protėviai kur statė. 35
Vytenis kai vadovavo,
Galvų kelt priešai negavo. 33
Bet kažkam jisai netiko,–
Išdavysčių daug nutiko.30, 33
Daugiau kardu – nei gudrybe,
Darė priešams jis piktybių.34, 51
Vytenis ir Gediminas,
Tų laikų yr atminimas. 9, 34
5. Gediminas*
Gedimins protu – ne kardu
Stiprino Tėvynės vardą.36, 37, 44
Jis valstybę vėl atkūrė,28, 44, 51
Kokią Ringaudas sukūrė.
Pagraudės krašte yr gimę,
Gedimino vaikai pirmi.24
Pilis Gedimino buvo,
Ten kur Jūros upė srūva.1
Ant Padievaičio kalnelio1
Pilis švieitė, kap SAULELĖ.***
Daug vaikų jisai turėjo, –
Visus svetur išlydėjo.31
Septyn sūnūs ir dukrelės35
Plėtė ribas mūs šalelės.
Kryžeivius kaltint mokėjo,37, 42
Pats krikštytis pasžadėjo.11
Gudriai veikdams daug laimėjo;
Priešus surištus regėjo.11, 37
Kryžeiviams nenusraminus,
Juosius ginklais pašokdino.35
Gedimins išminčius buvo,
Dėl to kažkam jis užkliuvo.
Diplomats nors didis buvo, 36, 42, 51
Nuo klastingos rankos žuvo.
Margiris
Margiris – jojo brolelis,
Žymus karšuvių vadelis.1
Daug žemaičių jis subūrė,37
Kaip rakštis kryžeiviams dūrė.
Jojo priešai taip nekentę,
Vienu kart sutarę baigti.
Tuntus riterių suvarę,
Pilį Pilėnų šturmavę.56
Gynėjų jėgoms išsekus,
Garbią žūtį rinktis tekus.37
Kęstutis su Algirdu
Kęstutis – riteriškiausias;
Iš visų jis padoriausias.44
Tvirtas rankas jis turėjo,
Gerą širdį paveldėjo.
O Birutę kai sutikęs,
Trakuos lizdą susisukęs.18, 28
Stiprią šeimą suriktavęs.29
Gerus vaikus sumeistravęs.
Mums Kęstutis su broleliu,
Liek vienybės simboleliu.37, 44, 52
Trisdešimt dvejus metus
Broliai saugojo savus44
Kęstutis kryžiokus tramdė,25, 44
Algirdas rytiečius lamdė.
Ir rūsėnai, ir mongolai,
Saugojos Algirdo ronų.44
Kęstutis žemaičius jungė,38, 44
Kryžeivius naikinti siundė.
Pats kryžokus puldinėjo,
Tad jie kenkt menkiau galėjo.25
Net nelaisvėj atsidūręs,25, 44
Naujus planus vis dar kūręs.
Jis Jogailos klastą juto,
Bet sūnaus valiai pakluso.29, 44
Tas pražudė garbingiausią,29, 38, 43
Valdovą riteriškiausą.18, 44, 51
6. Per niekšingąjį Jogailą,
Didžiavyris žuvo – gaila.43, 44
Jogaila
Jogaila – mamos (Julijonos) sūnelis
Tapo lenkų karalėlis.5, 28, 44
Su kryžeiviais susidėjęs,
Niekšybes daryt pradėjęs.29, 44
Kęstutį jisai pražudė
Ir Vytautui smarkai kliudė.29, 44
Nemokėjo jis skaityti 54
Anei rašto parašyti.54
Bet lenkams vis vien jis tiko;
Jiems, kaip šiaudas, tada liko.54
Su lenkais susgiminiavęs,54
Lietuvius lenkint pagavęs.10,19
Vytautas jį vos įveikęs,
Nors nesmarkiai ir tepeikęs.29
Vytautas Didysis
Vytauts, Kęstučio sūnelis,31
Jauns – Jogailos jis draugelis. 50, 54
Taip dėde pasitikėjo,19
Kad ir tėvą pražiūrėjo.
Kailį sveiką vos išnešęs,
Kryžeivių pagalbos prašęs.7, 28
Pas kryžiokus atsidūręs,
Baisų kerštą dėdei kūręs.19, 25
Gudrai veikti jis turėjo,
Kol gerai pats sustiprėjo.52
Vytauts didis, išmintingas,
Šiek tiek suktas, bet galingas.19, 50
Žemaičiams jis daug padėjo;18
Dėl to šlovę apturėjo.
O kai gelbėtis turėjo,
Žemaičius jis vėl uždėjo.6, 19
Nors trumpam ir užvaltyti (žemaičiai),
Priėšų stengės nepaisyti.6
Vytauts vėl kai sustiprėjo,
Žemaičius atgaut norėjo.19, 50
Totorius jis taikiai tramdė,
Nepaklusus skaudžiai lamdė.3
Jisai kraštus tuos užvaldė,
Katruos protėviai mūs valdė.48, 52
Jūras tas pačias sujungė,
Kurias aisčiai seniau jungė.48
Tikras buvo jis žemaitis –
Gedimino anūkaitis.19
Iš kryžeivių pasimokęs,
Griunvalde (Žalgirio mūšyje) juosius pranokęs.
18, 31, 54
Jis karūną užstarnavo,
Bet lenkai jį vėl apgavo.54
Užbaigimas
Apdainuotieji laikai,
Žinomi buvo menkai.
Kas legendom daug ką laikė,
Kas saviems tikslams pritaikė.
Čia išgirdus šį tą naujo,
Pasdomėt reikės iš naujo.
To ir linkiu iš širdies,
O jaunimui – išminties.
Už mintis čia išsakytas
Ir raštu dar užrašytas
Prie kryžaus manęs nekalkit,
Ir į miltus nesumalkit
.......................................
7. Ąžuolėliai mūsų brangūs
Kelkit šakas į padangę.
Kelkit ir žemaičių kraštą,
Kad galybės neprarastų.
Kelkit dzūkus ir aukštaičius,
Kaip ir kitus lietuvaičius.
Tauta būsim gyvybinga,
Tik jei liksime vieninga.
*gudai – slaviškos aisčių gentys;
*`godai – kitaip dar gotai.
**2016 m. sukanka 700 m. nuo Gedimino valdymo
pradžios;
