The curtain in the C.Y. Stephens Auditorium at Iowa State University, which has been used in over 3,500 performances over 45 years, is undergoing a 9-month conservation project to repair damage and restore it. The 80-foot by 35-foot curtain was woven in Japan and depicts symbols of science and technology at Iowa State. Conservation work began in August 2013 and includes cleaning, repairing, and researching the curtain's history.
