As a Public and Environmental health and WASH professional, I have extensive experience gained through
working with local and international NGOs in Pastoral and Agro pastoral communities of Ethiopia and
government institutions. My areas of specialty are, but not limited to, the following: -
 Humanitarian Response: I have worked and experienced in humanitarian response programs and projects
implementation especially in pastoral and agro-pastoral communities within WASH, Nutrition and Health
thematic areas.

F. PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
1. From September 01, 2015 to present , Senior WASH Coordinator, Save the Children, Afar Area
Office
 Main Duties:
 Conducts integrated WASH baseline assessments/surveys and prioritize WASH interventions for WASH
projects under the area office.
 Responsible for overall planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and review of WASH/WATSAN
related components of the different WASH related Projects in the area office.
 Responsible for managing HRF and emergency WASH projects budget and conduct regular budget versus
actual (BVA) review on monthly basis.
 Provide technical support for field and satellite offices on WASH related interventions, especially for
emergency response projects and programs.
 Conduct capacity need assessment and facilitate trainings on WASH and health related gaps for internal
staffs and external partners.
 Preparation and designing of training materials, IEC/BCC materials for community and institution based
(school & health facility) sanitation and hygiene promotion interventions.
 Work closely with Operation manager, project managers, the target communities, the project team, area
offices and respective operational district and regional level stakeholders create good networking.
 Responsible for the timely implementation of all the planned WASH related activities as per the approved
project document; and government and donor requirements and Save the Children standards
2. From July 1, 2015 to August 31, 2015, Senior CMAM Officer, Emergency Nutrition Response Project,
Save the Children, Afar Hub office
 Main Duties:
 Responsible for Managing and Coordinating Emergency Nutrition (CMAM) Project in four woredas of zone
two, Afara region

 Closely monitor and support CMAM officers to ensure implementation of the project based on the National
guidelines and protocols and compile monthly & quarterly reports.
 Conduct training gap assessment and provide technical assistance and capacity building for project staff
and partners’ staff on full components of CMAM

community and NGOs working in the area.

office and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual woreda health sector reports.

F. PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE 1. From September 01, 2015 to present , Senior WASH Coordinator, Save the Children, Afar Area Office  Main Duties:  Conducts integrated WASH baseline assessments/surveys and prioritize WASH interventions for WASH projects under the area office.  Responsible for overall planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and review of WASH/WATSAN related components of the different WASH related Projects in the area office.  Responsible for managing HRF and emergency WASH projects budget and conduct regular budget versus actual (BVA) review on monthly basis.  Provide technical support for field and satellite offices on WASH related interventions, especially for emergency response projects and programs.  Conduct capacity need assessment and facilitate trainings on WASH and health related gaps for internal staffs and external partners.  Preparation and designing of training materials, IEC/BCC materials for community and institution based (school & health facility) sanitation and hygiene promotion interventions.  Work closely with Operation manager, project managers, the target communities, the project team, area offices and respective operational district and regional level stakeholders create good networking.  Responsible for the timely implementation of all the planned WASH related activities as per the approved project document; and government and donor requirements and Save the Children standards 2.
