SKILLS
 I have IT skill which enables me to use software’s such as AutoCAD, Revit Architecture,
STAAD.Pro and Microsoft office. I have studied these software’s during the period of my study
in Civil Engineering and also have done special courses on them. I have been using these
software’s on a regular basis. For an example I used to use these software’s namely AutoCAD
and Revit Architecture during my summer training where I had to perform designing task for
Slab, Beam and foundation on a residential building projects. I have also I used Microsoft Excel
for creating Bill of Quantity and for Estimating projects. Adding to my IT skills I have also got
technical skills which allows me to perform lab experiments and chemical based experiments.
In college we had Construction materials measurements lab, soil mechanics lab and fluid
mechanics lab in which I used to perform well and successfully cleared these modules with a B
grade.
 Moreover I have got communication skills (Written and Verbal). I have developed these skills
throughout my study period. I have scored a band 7 in IELTS examination and I am a fluent
English language speaker. I have participated in various public speaking competition organized
by British Council, Environmental Society of Oman and Bangladesh School Muscat. In addition
to this in college every semester we have to write reports and give presentation and with the
help of my communication skills I amable to perform these task easily. I have got an A grade in
the module Technical Communication which focuses on communication skill development.
Adding to my skills list I have got management skills. I have done a separate course named
professional project management and through this I learnt the fundamentals of management
which enables me to person management tasks easily. For an example during my summer
training I was given a taskto manage and schedule a full week’s work and I have been successful
in completing this task.
 I also posses leadership skills which I have developed throughout my career. I was elected the
class representative in college. I have been always keen on taking up responsibilities which I can
perform well with my leadership skills. I was elected as the cultural officer in campus for
Caledonian college where with the help of my leadership skills I tried to bridge the gap between
the staff and the students. During my on site training too there used to conflict between the
workers and I used take it upon me to resolve the problems. Time management is another skills
I posses. It was one of the strongest skill I have developed during my college studies as I always
had to get assignments done on time. For an example we had 4 assignment and 5 lab reports
submission in Level 2 of engineering and I was able to complete my assignments and reports
before the time of submission.
