A cushioned tennis court delivers a greater player comfort and reduces the player's stress. It can be installed on asphalt and concrete base without any application issue. Moreover, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor uses and can be used for multi-purpose games. Check the slides here to have an idea on the construction process of a cushioned court and its advantages.
2. A cushioned tennis court is a material having
typical asphalt or concrete as the base with many
layers of cushioned rubber applied before the
acrylic finish.
3. The cushion is the acrylic emolution with coarse rubber
particles.
4. These courts are made by applying multiple, rubber-
containing coatings under the standard acrylic color
coating surfaces.
6. The surface helps to reduce surface impact and fatigue on
player's knees, ankles and feet.
7. The surface also withstands all situation like harsh climate
or UV rays etc.
8. The court surface is formulated with flexible, elastomeric
binders which keep it smooth and pliable even if they get older.
It also helps to deliver the soft feel for many years to come.
10. Surface preparation :-
The surface should be properly leveled and must be cleaned of
the dust, debris, dirt and all loose materials.
11. The asphalt surface must cure for 14-30 days and then it
should be coated with acrylic resurfacer.
12. Now the concrete surface must cure for 28days
before the application of Acrylic Adhesion
Promote.
13. Mixing procedure :
Dilute 4 part cushioned rubber with 1 part water in
high temperature to get a smooth and even consistency.
14. Apply the mixture on one coat after drying for 5 times for a
standard resiliency.
15. Important Tips :- Properly stir before using the mixture.
:- Make sure to maintain a 50 °F temperature during and
after application at least for 24hrs.
16. :- Do not apply the mixture if there is a forecast
of imminent rain or cold storm.
17. Damage Protection :-
As the cushioned surface is softer than other surfaces, it
can get damaged by the heavy equipment around like
bench or chairs.
18. Make sure to place boards or heavy mats to spread the
weight and minimize the potential damage.
