Unit Description: Landstuhl Regional Army Medical Center is the
largest American Level 1 trauma center located outside of the
continental United States. It directly supports wounded warriors
transitioning from combat zones to the United States, and it provides
routine health care for service members and their families assigned
to the European theatre of operations. The pharmacy dispenses
750K prescriptions per year and supports more than 10
geographically separated pharmacies.
Responsibilities: (1) Directed daily outpatient pharmacy operations;
(2) Resolved medication outages; (3) Reviewed potential additions
to the pharmacy formulary; (4) Reconciled medication profiles of
wounded warriors prior to medical evacuation; (5) Collaborated
with inpatient pharmacy to provide a seamless transition-of-care for
patients being discharged from the hospital.

Unit Description: Scott Air Force Base medical group is an
Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)
accredited facility. The Scott Air Force Base Pharmacy operates
three elements (services): Clinic Outpatient Pharmacy, Satellite
Outpatient Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Support Services. The
pharmacy has a staff of 31 and dispenses 375K prescriptions
annually with a budget of $13 million.
Responsibilities: (1) Directed daily Satellite Pharmacy Operations;
(2) Performed duties as lead pharmacist on Pharmacy &
Therapeutics Function; (3) Monitored medication errors and
conducted Root Cause Analysis and continuous Quality
Improvement activities; (4) Ensured compliance with corporate (Air
Force) policies/standards; (5) Provided therapeutic monitoring of
patients in the anticoagulation clinic; (6) Coordinated care and
therapeutic interventions as tobacco cessation clinic pharmacy
champion.

activities; (3) Serve as pharmacy consultant to the Human
Rights/Clients’ Rights Oversight Committee.

Saint Louis Effort for Aids
Description: Saint Louis Effort for Aids provides education on the
prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission. It also provides
comprehensive support services for individuals living with
HIV/AIDS and their families.
Responsibilities: (1) Provide administrative support to the outreach
programs; (2) Participate in outreach programs; (3) Served as a
restaurant host for the annual Dining Out for Life fundraising event.
