Summary
I started volunteering at a children’s shelter in Cape Town in 2010, helping with
Educational and Creative activities, assisting with planning the Holiday Program and
coordinating outings. During this time I studied through UNISA (University of South
Africa), completing a one-year course in Auxiliary Social Work (People Centered
Development Training). While studying, I volunteered at The Kidzpositive Family
Fund, assisting in the playroom (educational waiting area for children receiving ARV
medication at Groote Schuur Hospital) as a childcare worker. In 2011 I was

Special / personal
projects:
I have various individuals and
organisations that I support on a
personal level, such as a young family
who I met via my work with The
Kidzpositive Family Fund. Over the
past three years I have assisted them
with school funds, health care,
reconnecting them with family and
helping them relocate. There is also an
educare in Mfuleni which I have
assisted with fundraising and
donations, and I take on many other
such challenges through out each year
depending on where a huge need is.
