Stefan Manole is a first year computer science student at University College London. He has a strong academic background graduating from high school in Romania with a 9.78 GPA. WORK EXPERIENCE
“Sustainable Planet” Project (October 2015 – December 2015) –I am the leader of a 6-persons team which have to
design a sustainable means of power generation for a village in India and create a bid that sets out a plan,which will provide the
additional energy supply.My role in this project is to create software or operating system to maintain the energy and to prov ide the
village with a security system and databases.
“SC Solid Petroserve” SRL(Work shadowing-4 weeks)- At this company I had to use my knowledge of programming in C++
from highschool to develop a software that processes and diagnoses theworking parameters from a production facility in real time
to ensure effectiveness and safety of operation.
“Engduino project”(October 2015)-In this project I had to use the Engduino board as a device to collect data that can be
uploaded to a computer .My project stored the data from the engduino board and then use the accelometer values to create a
game where the board is the controller.
Robotics (April – May 2014) – This was a 3 persons project in which we had to program a robot, using C, to accomplish various
tasks: follow a wall, visit and exit a maze,etc.

International Physics Contest “Phi”-Obtained the 3rd placein Romania in a very competitive contest (more than 2000 participants)
which combines a theoretical part and also practical part.The theoretical part involved problems from all the fields of
physics:optics,mechanics ,electricity and thermodynamics.The practical part consisted in the realization of a scale model of the
electrical energy transportation grid in Romania.

 Environmental protection: I have participated in the environmental protection programme “Let’s do it, Romania!”, in 2014.
This is a national implementation of the European project, which aims at making people conscious of the quantity of
garbage, by organising cleaning actions.
 Volunteering: I have volunteered in the Film Festival “PIFF”, Ploiesti, 2014 and in the local project “Student Marathon”
sustained by Unesco.
 Other: National chess junior champion in 2010,bronze medal (2012,2013) , one participation in the Word Chess Youth
Championship(Vietnam) and 2 participations in the European Youth Chess Championship.
