Sharjeel Abbas is an Assistant Professor of Cardiac Surgery at LUMHS Pakistan with over 15 years of experience in general and cardiac surgery. He completed his FCPS in Cardiac Surgery in 2014 and has performed over 500 cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve repairs and replacements. He is looking to complete a fellowship in minimally invasive cardiac surgery and start a residency program under his supervision.

“Career statement”
Since my graduation in 2002, I have been in continuous medical practice, with
experience of more than 4 years in General Surgery and 3 years in Cardiac Surgery. I have
acquired the skills in both deciplines of surgery. I am skilled to perform Coronary Artery Bypass
Grafting, Valvular heart surgeries, Atrial & Ventricular Septal Repairs, Patent Ductus Closure, in
particular. I am properly trained in all domains of Cardiac Surgical Care. In addition, I belong to
teaching faculty of my University.
I am looking forward to get a Second Fellowship in Minimal Invasive Cardiac surgery, to
gain further experience and do some research, and Start a Fellowship residency programme

Practice to implement Clinical Governance in the best interest of my patients and medical staff.
