Jacob Esch is an operations intern working on the Cubiscan Project and Slotting Software implementation for the new RDC facility. His goals are to collect volumetric data on 23,000 SKUs using Cubiscan equipment, research and implement slotting software, and learn the operational rhythm by attending meetings. He has gathered data on over 65% of SKUs and will integrate this into the slotting software to optimize product locations based on size, velocity, vendor, and picking efficiency. The internship is providing experience in research, implementation, meeting coordination, and experiencing the rhythm of a large warehousing operation.
