Successful:
Scanadu Scout
Unsuccessful:
Skarp
Scanadu Scout
The small business created a device that tracks vital signs
including:
Temperature, respiratory rate, EKG, and emotional stress
and sends a report via smartphone.
With $1,664,574 raised in under 60 days
I liked the rewards Scanadu Scout because, they
were ready to hand out the rewards when everything
was set
Video was good, it was
very informational but it
just had a lady talking
They Succeeded because they
were prepared and knew what to
do with the money.
They had a plan
Skarp
The small business raised $4 million Then Kickstarter pulled Laser
Razor because it didn’t even have anything close to resembling a
working prototype.
They collected over $442,000. The campaign has already pushed
back its shipment date and backers are complaining that it’s not
responsive to requests on updates.
I did not like their
rewards because, they
were so unprepared that
no one got a razor that
ordered one
Was not a big fan of the video because, they
did not really have one for their product.
There were videos on Skarp being on
Kickstarter
They failed because they were
unprepared for everything. They
all of a sudden had money coming
in to be funded and they did not
even have a prototype.
