INTERPRETATION, ANALYSIS & ASSESSMENT RECOMMENDED INTERVENTION
• Crime statistics shows significant trends when
linked to the movement and economic
restrictions imposed by the IATF.
• Concentrated in Barangays with Central
Business Districts
• Compared to 2019, there was an increase in
theft in the Ortigas Business District in Brgy.
Wack-Wack Greenhills and is attributed to the
presence of shipping centers such as St.
Francis, Star Mall, Shangrila & SM Megamall
• Green Field-BD & Pioneer BD, where hotels &
office buildings are mostly located,
experienced a drop in occupancy rates when
“work from home” arrangements were
established and encouraged, theft incidents
were directly proportional to the decrease in
economic activities & foot traffic.
• Conduct pro-active measures such as regular
visitations of PNP personnel to
commercial/business establishments, so as to
strengthen partnership and strategize on how
to deter theft incidents inside their
establishments.
• Intensify tactical deployment of mobile,
motorcycle and beat patrollers at business
districts particularly during identified crime
prone period (Tuesday, Saturday and
Sunday/2pm-10pm).
• Strict implementation of city ordinances,
OPLAN SITA/GALUGAD, checkpoints,
• Conduct lectures and distribution of fliers
about crime prevention, modus operandi and
safety tips.
• Utilize social media platforms (Facebook,
Youtube, etc.) regarding Information
