Craig Noto has over 20 years of coaching experience at the youth, high school, and college levels. He was recently named head coach of the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters of the Northwoods League. Previously, he spent nine seasons as associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at LIU Brooklyn, where he recruited and coached players who went on to professional baseball. Noto has also organized some of the largest baseball tournaments in the Northeast for elite prospects, including bringing Perfect Game to the region. Prior to LIU Brooklyn, he coached youth teams that saw over 120 players drafted by MLB teams, including 21 who reached the major leagues.

Craig Noto enters his 22nd year of coaching and recruiting at the Youth, High School and
Division 1 Collegiate level. He was just named as the Head Coach for the Wisconsin Rapids
Rafters of the Northwoods League for the Summer 2015. The Northwoods League is one of
the premier Summer Collegiate League sponsored by MLB in the Country for Collegiate
players. Just prior to that he has spent the past nine seasons as the Associate Head
Coach/Recruiting Coordinator/Pitching Coach at LIU Brooklyn. While at LIU Brooklyn
Coach Noto Recruited and coached eight (8) different players that have gone off to various
levels of Professional Baseball including the first Big League player in LIU history in James
Jones (Seattle Mariners). During his tenure the Blackbirds had 14 NEC All Conference
selections, two NEC Players of the Year, two ABCA All Americans and a Rawlings Gold
Glove Winner.
For the past 15 years Craig has been a driving force with running the best tournaments
here in the Northeast for Blue Chip Prospects. In 2004 he was solely responsible for
bringing Perfect Game to the Northeast Region and was the Northeast Director for Perfect
Game’s State ID Showcases in five (5) States in the Region. By 2006 he began hosting
Perfect Game’s Qualifying Tournaments for what we all know now as “Jupiter” and
“Georgia” aka the WWBA Championships. This past Summer Coach Noto organized,
directed and executed the Borough Cup Tournament here in New York City. The Borough
Cup was the single largest NYC Baseball Tournament ever executed and culminated with
Championship games in both Yankee Stadium and MCU Park in five (5) different age
groups.
Prior to joining the staff at LIU Brooklyn, he was the Head Coach for the Bergen Beach
Youth Organization National teams. During his time with Bergen Beach Coach Noto saw
over 120 players go on to be drafted by MLB teams. Twenty one (21) of those players have
reached the Major League level. While at the Bergen Beach Youth Organization as an
instructor and coach, he led his teams to nine CABA World Series championships. His last
season with Bergen Beach he led his squad to the CABA National Championship with his
14-year old team. During his time with Bergen Beach he was an Associate Scout for NYC
Scouting Legend Frank “Buddy” Paine with both the Detroit Tigers and the Pittsburgh
Pirates. At the High School level, he coached a combined nine years for both his Alma
Mater St. Peter's Boys HS and St. Joseph by the Sea HS in Staten Island. Coach Noto also
served as a Little League coach at Staten Island Little League as well for four years.
Craig is known as a skilled clinician of the game in all facets. His highly organized
practices and attention to detail have been key in the development of his players and
assistant coaches over the years. As a 16 year Member of the ABCA he has been a guest
speaker at many clinics and organizational dinners Nationwide. His numerous contacts
throughout the sandlot, Collegiate and Professional ranks act as a great resource for his
players. Coach Noto was an All-City player at St. Peters Boys HS and then went on to play
for legendary New York City coach Louie De Martino at John Jay College. He currently is
the Vice President for the Brooklyn Baseball Association. BBA is a 501c3 youth
organization that has 250 boys & girls playing baseball & softball in Brooklyn.
