Courage can take many forms, both big and small. It involves facing and overcoming one's fears. The document discusses courage in the context of the movie The Blind Side, where a woman named Leigh Anne takes in a homeless teenager, Michael Oher, without knowing much about him. 1. Courage
What is courage? Some people may say it is when you do something that
you don't want to do or others would say it is when someone force you to do
something that you don't want to do, but you do it because the person wants
you to. Courage for me is doing what you're afraid of. To conquer your fear.
But courage can be a lot of things. Courage can be what it takes to say no.
Courage can also be to just step out of the bed and go to school for the day.
It can be everything, courage is what you think it is.
To dare to take a homeless person into your home that is what Leigh Anne
does in the movie. Michael Oher is the boy that Leigh Anne takes into her
home. I think many people ask themselves, how? How can she take a
homeless person into her home without knowing what kind of person he is? I
think she asked herself that too. But she did it, because she had courage to
do it. I see Leigh Anne as a particular person who knows what she is doing,
and she did the right thing. I can say that i had not done that, and that is
because I don't think that I am brave enough to do that. But I don't know,
maybe I will do that some day.
I don't think I have done anything courageous, because I'm to fearful. But
many people I know are courageous in their own way. When I say that they
are courageous in their own way I don't mean that it has to be a big thing
they have done, like a very brave thing. It can be that they just have said
something I thought was brave of them to say or things like that. My mom
thought I was brave when I returned a rented movie, but how brave is that on
a scale of one to ten? Zero. So,courage is what you think it is.
