Watercolor Tree
Using watercolor, I painted the tree with different shades of blues and purples to keep a theme of color. I splattered paint over the edges of the tree to fill in space and create
balanced in the overall piece.
Bricks & Petals
Using clay, I created a contrast of something hard and sturdy with something delicate and beautiful. I split the piece up in 3 pieces to place more geometric patterns in my work, and give more dimension. The lotus flower symbolizes how I try to keep peace within my mind even if the walls, or challenges, in my life are standing right in front of me.
VW Beetle
After receiving my own first car, I photographed the Volkswagen logo on the from of it after the rain because of the textures and space fills the rain created. The water droplets portray added a factor of movement and pattern.
Coca-Cola
I photographed this glass because of the contrast of colors set between the light glass and deep red words. The multiple glasses create repetition, and fill in space.
Shattered Petals
I photographed these roses with glass inside the petals to capture the contrast of something beautiful and something broken. I used different tools to highlight the different textures.
Self Portrait
This is a graphite self portrait from observation and photos. Being one of the first drawings from observation in my art class, my shading techniques have grown since making this piece. This piece pushed me to begin focusing more on small details in my work.
Blurred Vision
This is me. This piece shows the mental stress and business of my mind using through bright colors. The black background emphasizes the face while creating negative space and contrast.
Drawing from observation
Using colored pencils, I observed and drew this plant to capture the life of the plant. My goal is to become an art teacher, and I got a job working with young students to begin my career now. This is my very first present from a student. It reminded me that I want to be a teacher to help children develop and be another figure for them to look to for advice if they ever need.

Photographing the Duomo in Florence, I was enamored by the small details that reside within the structure. The strong linear features of the building, and repetition of pattern inspired my composition.

Walking through the streets of Rome, I photographed this sign because of the power the street art portrayed. Here and throughout the city, there is a constant dichotomy of historical Rome versus the new Rome.
Bar in Rome
I photographed this sign for its simplicity, and to capture the character it has gained throughout the years business. The textures of the building filled in spaces created a busy, yet clean presence.
Brunch in Rome
While in Europe of the summer I was able to photograph the community that is Rome. This scene seemed so calm and slow paced that I wanted to capture the melancholy moody of this street by stilling the movement using leading lines.
Back & Forth
I was inspired when I saw this line of bricks while driving down the road, the varied texture interested me. The bricks create a pattern and sense of space that I further emphasized by editing the image into black and white.
Blue Waves
By fusing different colors of glass together and melting it on a wave-like mold, I created this piece. I wanted to display an idea of the layers of an ocean and how it has blue and black hues to it depending on where in the water you are. The spaces of the just clear glass are to represent the empty spaces in the ocean where nothing resides.
Benz
Being the first car I ever drove, I photographed the car to really capture the distinct features of the car that gave it character. The vibrant red contrasted with the silver details created a liveliness in the vehicle, and the small paint chips and dents displayed the different textures.
