The National Disaster Management Authority of Indonesia is responsible for coordinating disaster management efforts across government agencies and organizations. It aims to build a disaster-resilient society through developing policies, strategies and programs related to disaster risk reduction and emergency response. The authority works with 34 provinces and over 500 regencies/cities in Indonesia to strengthen disaster management capacity at all levels of government and within communities.
