The OPAL Training Project was a 3-year project with a budget of $150,000 for 2006/2007 and $144,000 for 2007/2008. In 2006/2007, the project delivered 117 training courses to 1020 public library staff on topics such as Library 2.0, multicultural resources, family history, and emerging technologies. A fortnightly newsletter was distributed and well received, highlighting useful new resources. Monthly technology demonstration sessions were also delivered at the State Library of Queensland.
