Quadradet, a square shape, wants to enter the classroom with his round friends but cannot because he is not round like the door. The round shapes suggest cutting off Quadradet's corners to make him round, upsetting him as it would hurt. They eventually understand that it is not Quadradet who needs to change, but the door, so they cut off the door's corners instead to allow Quadradet to enter with all his friends.
