This construction management assignment involves building an extension to an existing building as shown in Figures 1-4. The student must create a sequence list of 25 activities required to complete the project, determine the manpower, equipment, and materials needed for each task, and sequence the tasks for maximum efficiency by minimizing material handling, travel, and keeping equipment constantly in motion. The student then needs to fill out a table describing the 25 activities with crew, equipment, materials, and any notes.

We’re going to build an extension to existing building, shown in Fig 1 to 4.
Fig 5 shows the expansion plans.
1. I want you to create a sequence list of 25 activities that will be required to
complete the work. For example asphalt demolition.
Consider tasks that have to do with: Demolition, Site utilities, Roofing, Masonry,
Carpentry, Steel erection, Doors, frames and windows, etc.
2. Determine exactly the manpower, equipment, and material required for each
task.
3. Sequence the tasks to obtain the greatest efficiency.
 Minimize material handling
 Minimize traveling for both labor and equipment
 Keep equipment constantly in motion
So you have to provide a thorough analysis with the 25 activities required to
complete the task and describe how it can be done in a safe manner, and then
complete the table below for the 25 activities.
