Automobile Training 「Encyclopedia towards Hybrid Vehicle」-
Concept Note
1. Introduction
With the acceleration of industrialization process in ASEAN countries, the automobile industry
has been an important driving force in ASEAN economies, contributing at least $177 billion to
ASEAN’s gross domestic product and creating 2.4 million jobs in the region. On the other hand,
the car ownership in ASEAN witnessed a skyrocketed increase in these years.
In the past time, ASEAN automobile market is dominated by Japanese brands, such as Nissan,
Honda, Toyota. However, with the rise of new energy vehicle technology, 5G and internet of
things, some new players from China, like BYD，Weltmeister and Geely, have already
established new energy automobile industry or invest local automobile enterprise in ASEAN
countries.
With the automobile industry between China and ASEAN countries becoming closer and closer,
the lecturer for the training, Prof. HUANG Zhijie from Guangxi Transport Vocational and
Technology College(GTVTC), has teaching and research experiences in hybrid automobile
related fields for many years. The participants not only can learn about the core knowledge in
this field, but also will receive an official vocational qualification certificate issued by GTVTC
and SEAMEO TED.

3. Learning Outcomes
The results expected to be obtained by participants after accomplishing the workshops are as
follows:
 Understand the fundamentals and basic knowledge about hybrid vehicle.
 Acquire the basic skills in the inspection and repairing for hybrid vehicle.
 Generally know how the hybrid vehicle operates.
