- Welcome! My name is Sally Walker I am a student of Technology, communication and Culture studying at CQU Today I would like to present to you How communication has evolved with new technologies.
- I am extremely honoured and humbled to address the house of representatives today as the chosen member for the Sunshine Bay electorate. I thank the electorate of Sunshine Bay for having faith in me to advocate on their behalf. I will do my utmost to represent them with honesty, integrity and sincerity. I am committed to this electorate to make a difference I have heard your voices and I promise to work hard and deliver.

- The Smart City Program is being implemented through out the world and we in Sunshine Bay do not want to be left behind. I have had conversations with my constituency regarding the black holes in mobile coverage and television reception. This is just the tip of the iceberg for the need to get smarter and use smart technologies. Increasing our telecommunications infrastructure and coverage will be my first priority. By giving fast Internet speeds with the NBN Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) we can use these fast technologies. As we move to the Broadband Network our Landlines use Voice Over The Internet Protocol (VOIP) this increase our dependence on Mobile Phone reception as we move away from the Telstra copper wiring Network. If the Internet should go down for various reasons we need full mobile phone coverage for connectivity to services. - The Internet of Things (IoT) is changing the way the world is doing things. It is a collection of objects that use sensors to manage resources and exchange data over the Internet (SAP, 2018).
