CHORUS:
When Jesus steps out,on the cloud to call his children, the dead in Christ shall rise, to meet him in the air,and then those that remain, will be quickly changed at the midnight cry, When Jesus comes again.
We are told to confess, but seldom talk about it. Our confession often reveals how we think of and deal with our sin before God. In this lesson we will learn from King Saul and King David’s confession of sin some things that we must not do and must do when we confess our sins.

Both Isaiah and John describe Jesus as the light, who comes into a dark world. Darkness has three important usages. It is descriptive of (1) the fallen world (2) our human nature that cannot and will not see the truth of God, life, and human nature, and (3) the willful refusal to turn to the light, to do what God tells us to do. Jesus, the light, is the answer to all three usages of darkness.

Message series awakening - part 1 - awakening to longing - pastor chuck ber...LifePointe Church
This message is Part 1 in the message series “AWAKENING” by Pastor Chuck Bernal. In this message titled, “Awakening To Longing”, Pastor Chuck talks the emptiness we feel in our lives and how we looks to pleasure, possessions and people - but they can never bring ultimate satisfaction because they are temporary in nature. Using the stories of Solomon and the Prodigal Son, he discusses the fact that each of us has a "God-shaped" hole which only God can fill - and that is where we will find our ultimate satisfaction and meaning in life.
This message was delivered at LifePointe Church in Crowley, TX on Sunday, April 23, 2017.
Why does Jesus call His disciples "salt"? What are the functions of salt? Why does He mention "salt" before light? What are the characteristics of light? Why does Jesus call His disciples "light"? What are the functions of light? Why would anyone think of hiding their light or placing their light "under a basket"? How, practically, does a Christian "let their light shine"? How does light shine from a follower of Jesus? Where does the believer's light shine?
This is a study of Jesus as the crowned savior. Jesus had many crowns, but the final one was when he ascended to the right hand of the Father and took His place on the ultimate thrown.

It pays ev’ry step of the way…
Tho’ the pathway to glory may sometimes be drear,
You’ll be happy each step of the way.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

At the midnight cry,
We will be going home.
