Two friends, Paula and Barbora, found a sad and injured dog while walking in the forest. They were afraid of the dog at first but returned with food after seeing it was unable to move. The dog was very hungry. Unable to find the owner, they took the dog home but their sister later recognized it as belonging to a friend. They returned the dog, who was reunited happily with its owner. The girls received thanks and treats for saving the lost dog.

The Royse school in Hole, Norway is donating money they have raised to the Plans Girl Fund, an organization that supports girls in the poorest countries by allowing them to attend school. They chose this organization because they believe all girls worldwide should have the opportunity to be educated so they can learn skills to improve their lives.

Mrs Loukotová
Petra Loukotová is the author's mother who saved a neighbor's life. One day while working in their gardens, the author's mother heard their 73-year-old neighbor Mrs. Božena cry out and glass breaking. Mrs. Božena had fallen 2 meters from her terrace, cutting herself on broken glass. Petra was first to help and tended to the injured neighbor without panicking, instructing others to call an ambulance and get blankets and towels while they waited. The neighbor was taken to the hospital and survived, though it was unfortunate the incident occurred on her birthday.
Hats off to Mr Řehůřek
Jaroslav Řehůřek was born in 1924 in Kunštát, Czechoslovakia. He received several Czechoslovakian patents for inventions in machining. In 1967, he became the technical director of a new Czechoslovakia-France company in Paris. Since 1975, he has lived in Paris but remains connected to his hometown of Kunštát, where he supports younger and older residents. Since 2007, Řehůřek has offered cooperation and financial support to his former school in Kunštát, donating over a quarter million Czech crowns for activities and equipment. He continues to support cultural events for the school.
Hero in 21st century
Jane is a 48-year-old kindergarten teacher from Adamovske-Kochanovce who is known for being friendly, kind, and helpful to others. She and her family cared for her aunt Anna, who lived in the house until her death in 2012 at age 90. Anna loved learning and attended university, but later developed illnesses that required Jane and others to regularly assist her in her home, which is where Anna wished to stay until the end.
Hero of my surroundings
My father saved the lives of two neighbors on separate occasions. The first time, a neighbor fell from a ladder while picking cherries and stopped breathing. My father provided first aid, called emergency services, and stayed with her until help arrived. She survived with only a broken arm. A few months later, the same neighbor fell down the basement stairs, hit her head, and was bleeding heavily. My father helped stop the bleeding and gave her ice for her head until she regained consciousness and was taken to the hospital, where she recovered despite a severe concussion. Both neighbors survived thanks to my father's quick actions in responding to their emergencies.

The X-MAS market will be selling products from Comenius. Visitors can find a variety of handmade goods including jewelry, pottery, wooden toys and decorations. This annual holiday event features works from local artisans and helps support small businesses in the community.

Two boys in Nitra, Slovakia saw a car that had crashed into a tree and found the driver unconscious and bleeding from the head. One boy quickly called emergency services while the other tried to communicate with the injured man by stroking his neck and face. Medics arrived and were able to revive the man, saying that the boys' quick action saved the man's life. The man later thanked the boys for their help.
Radek sýs – the blood donor
Radek Sýs is a 38-year-old police officer from Brno, Czech Republic who has donated blood and plasma 93 times for free. He started donating when he was 25 years old at a hospital in Boskovice. For his numerous donations, he has received bronze, silver, and gold Jánský plaques as well as a gold cross award. Jánský plaques are awarded by the Red Cross to recognize frequent blood donors in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Donating blood involves giving nearly half a liter of blood through a sharp syringe, which most donors do not find painful, especially with the company of friendly nurses.

Bryndzové halušky is a traditional Slovak dish made of potato dumplings served with bryndza cheese, fried bacon, and sour cream. To make it, potatoes and flour are grated and mixed together, then formed into dumplings and boiled until they float. The cooked dumplings are tossed with soft sheep's cheese bryndza and topped with fried bacon and a dollop of sour cream.

Karolina witnesses some older boys threatening a younger boy in the park. The next day she sees the boy being taken away in a car and follows a trail of blood to the empty school. She later sees the boys throw the younger boy, named Will, into a garbage truck. Karolina borrows a pizza delivery moped to follow the truck to the landfill, where she finds Will locked in a cabin. She rescues Will after luring the older boys away with pizza, and they go to the police station to report what happened. Karolina is thanked for becoming a hero by saving Will.
