In amongst the brands of espresso coffee machines available on the market you will always find one that is
considered above the rest, La Marzocco.
La Marzocco are one of the most trusted commercial coffee machine producers on the market today and they
have been since 1927. In the last 93 years La Marzocco have released excellent machines, such as the FB80, the
GB5, the Linea Classic and the much loved Linea PB.
The La Marzocco Linea PB was released in 2013 and is a more modern equivalent to the Linea Classic, and it
comes equipped with a large range of attractive features that will make a baristas job easier and more
enjoyable.
The first of these features is the dual PID system. Each of the PID controls is used to control the temperature for
each boiler and are used to ensure temperature stability for optimal pressure and heat. The PID system is
further reinforced by the next feature, the dual insulated boilers.
The Dual boilers are insulated to allow continual temperature stability and ensure that your machine never ran
out of steam, pressure or heat. This is further increased but the dual boilers themselves. Each of the boilers has
a different job, one controls brew water and the other ensures that the machine is continually supplied with
steam for espresso and milk production.
The Linea PB takes all the much loved features of the Linea Classic and enhances them with the extra PID
control, firmware upgrades and eco mode.
The Linea PB has a feature called ‘Eco Mode’ which allows the machine to be programmed to enter a stand-by
mode during non busy and closing times. If the machine is not being used, the machine will learn these times and
enter the ‘Eco Mode’ to reduce power consumption, boiler temperature and increase energy efficiency.
