Ferring Pharmaceuticals implemented a Cloud Management Gateway (CMG) using Microsoft Azure to manage internet-based client machines that could not connect to the on-premises intranet due to COVID restrictions. The CMG allows Configuration Manager clients to be managed over the internet without exposing on-premises infrastructure, providing updates and upgrades to remote machines. The solution can easily be implemented in other organizations facing similar remote management challenges without additional infrastructure requirements.

2. Issue Statement
-Client wanted to manage Internet based client machines which were unable to connect to intranet due to
COVID scenario
-As the Client machines were not able to connect to intranet SCCM Server hence were unable to get the
updates and upgrades.

3. The cloud management gateway (CMG) provides a simple way to manage
Configuration Manager clients over the internet. You deploy CMG as a cloud service in
Microsoft Azure. Then without additional on-premises infrastructure, you can manage
clients that roam on the internet or are in branch offices across the WAN. You also
don't need to expose your on-premises infrastructure to the internet.

-The Solution can be implemented with ease in other orgs without the need to manage any
other overheads.
