About 943 stocks advanced and 845 shares declined on National Stock Exchange. Nine out of 11 sectoral gauges compiled by NSE ended higher, led by the NSE Nifty Metal Index’s 1.09 percent gain. IndusInd Bank, Infosys and HDFC are the top gainers while Indiabulls Housing Finance, YES Bank and Bharti Infratel are the most active stocks. The 31-stock index rose 0.45 percent to close at a new all-time high at 40,653.74. The NSE Nifty 50 rose 0.42 percent to end above 12,000 for the first time in over four months. Shares of Godrej Consumer Products rallied more than 3 percent intraday on November 7 after global brokerage firm CLSA had upgraded its rating on the stock to buy from underperform. Shares of Exide Industries rose 3 percent intraday on November 7 after Japanese brokerage firm Nomura turned bullish on the stock, upgrading its rating after Q2 earnings. Shares of MSTC touched its 52-week high of Rs 147.80, adding 20 percent intraday on November 7 after the company signed MoU with Burn Standard for e-auction services Shares of Max Financial Services gained 7.8 percent intraday on November 7 after brokerages remained bullish on the stock, expecting a 28-36 percent return after Q2 earnings and terminating the agreement with Mitsui. TECHNICAL VIEW The Nifty 50 Index showed a positive of +46.00 points in today‘s trading session. The short term resistance is expected to be at 12100 with the support at 11800.
