Methods for Asking Client Feedback
(And Why You Should)
We should need to understand the needs of the
target market and collecting constructive
feedback from customers to improve the
reputation of a technology company. We need to
use customer feedback to inform content
creation and product design, as well as
leveraging social media conversations to
improve advertising efforts. The article provides
four strategies for improving audience
engagement and feedback collection.
1) Make use of online comment sections.
We need to follow up two strategies for collecting
customer feedback. Firstly, by adding a suggestion box on
the website, visitors can provide input on planned
improvements, which can help direct the evolution of the
product over time. Secondly, by posting review links on
each product page, current customers can provide
feedback that can serve as social proof to new visitors
and point out areas for improvement.
2) Get in touch with your email list subscribers.
Reaching out to subscribers on the email list for
feedback by tailoring the questions asked to
each individual subscriber. This can be done by
asking detailed questions about the specific
marketing plugin or tool they have invested in. By
compiling the information received and looking
for trends, businesses can identify areas of
improvement for the next version of the product.
The author recommends conducting such
surveys every six months to gather feedback on
the products subscribers have bought so far.
3) Ask people to comment on social media.
We should need to leverage social media to
solicit feedback from the target audience by
asking probing questions related to the
product or service. Multiple-choice surveys can
be used to get specific feedback and gain
insight into customer expectations, while
making data management easier. Additionally,
joining groups on LinkedIn and Facebook can
help businesses engage with potential
customers and gather feedback about their
products or services. The author suggests
using insights from social media feedback to
spark ideas for new products, updated
features, and other improvements.
4) Initiate a dialogue with potential new clients.
New buyers are more likely to provide honest
feedback about a product or service. The
customer success team should contact buyers
a week or two after purchase to ask for their
feedback and address any concerns they may
have. Implementing at least one requested
feature from this group of users can help
improve customer satisfaction and benefit the
company.
