3. PYTHON SYNTAX
• The set of rules that defines how a Python program will be written and
interpreted
• Relatively simple syntax
• Python is known for its simplicity and readability. It uses a clean and
straightforward syntax.

4. PYTHON FEATURES
• Easy to understand
• Free and open source
• High level language
• Portable (Windows/Linux/MAC)

5. SETTING UP PYTHON
• Python installation
• Jupyter Notebook installation

6. OUR FIRST PROGRAM

7. MODULE
• What is module?
• Module is a file containing code written by someone else. We just import it into
our code and use it.
Ex# Numpy, OS, Pandas, Matplotlib etc…

8. PIP
• Pip is the package manager for python
• You can use pip to install a module in your system
Ex# pip install Numpy

9. TYPES OF MODULES
• Build-in modules
• Already exists

• External modules
• Need to be installed using pip
Ex# Tensorflow

10. EXERCISE
• Write a python program to print twinkle twinkle
poem
• Use REPL and print table of 5
• Install an external module and do an operation of
your interest
• Write a python program to print the content of a
directory using os module. Search online for the
function which does that.
