CIRM is a non-profit Consortium established in 1997 by Public
and Private Partners, with the addition of scientific and
technological Associated Partners in the area of “Life
Sciences”.
TRAINING
Carry out professional supplementary training and lifelong training
programmes, also by using technologies for remote training programmes.

RESEARCH
Promote and carry out biologic, medical, non-medical healthcare, socioeconomic and biostatistical research, while focusing on the development of
IT biotechnologies and service organization.

CLINICAL TRIALS
Test drugs, healthcare products and devices in partnership with Centres of
excellence present in the premises of Members and Associated Partners.
RESEARCH

The objective of CIRM is the establishment of Partnerships
aimed at conceiving and developing government and
privately-funded regional, national, European and
international research projects.
Our consortium operates as scientific and technological
partner in European Union countries and internationally
and promotes Research and Development in third party
countries.
TRAINING
CIRM is a post-university school for ongoing vocational
training in Life Sciences sectors with the objective to
particularly foster transfer of knowledge from the centres of
excellence to the community. In terms of methods, the school
utilizes conventional methods associated with the most
modern learning techniques (CD, DVD, INTERNET, ELEARNING, Videoconferencing) and in particular:
•On-site training aimed at learning specific organizational
knowledge;
•Distance learning with e-learning and videocommunication
elements;
•Residential training for frontal educational activities;
•Monothematic e-books, easy to consult electronic books.
CLINICAL TRIALS
CIRM operates as CRO – Contract Research Organization – and
offers clinical/pharmaceutical services also by means of the
support and scientific competences of its members. Its services
include clinical trial management, clinical and medical
monitoring, medical writing and support to regulatory activities.
CIRM is the only Italian institution together with IRCCS (Research
Hospitals) and Hospitals to be part of the ECRIN/ERIC (European
Clinical Research Infrastructures Network). It is also part of the
European networks in ESFRI (European Strategy Forum on
Research Infrastructures).
