Gujarat Sidhee Cement Limited is organizing a gardening and kitchen gardening competition for residents of its colony from February 15 to April 2012. An assessment team will evaluate the gardens in late April and award prizes to the top three gardens in each colony area. The competition aims to promote environmental awareness among colony residents. General rules specify that participants are responsible for their own gardening resources and company assistance will be limited to pesticide application. Residents can contact an officer for guidance on the competition.

Sub: Garden & Kitchen Garden Competition for the year 2012
This is to inform colony residents (C to F type colony) that in order to create the
awareness of Environment among colony people, it has been decided to
organise a gardening & kitchen gardening competition w.e.f. from 15th February ­
2012. The competition shall be conducted in the gardening & kitchen gardening
area of respective residences .
The final assessment of the competition in different colony area shall be
conducted dunng last week of April - 2012 by assessment team. On the basis of
assessment. the best three Gardens will be awarded with Prizes. Required
guidance for same will be provided to all participants.

GENERAL RULES OF GARDENING/KITCHEN GARDENING COMPETITION
1) Separate assessment shall be conducted for 1) garden (Front area) 2)
kitchen garden (backside area) 3) new creativity from unused! scrap
materials and on the basis of assessment, the best two of above three
categories will be awarded with prizes.
2) All the participants put their own resources (i .e. seed , manure, fertilizer ,
plant sapples, watering pIpe etc.) for the competition
3) Plant protection measures like spaying of pesticides, fungIcides etc will be
done by Horticulture section as and when requIred .
4) Company's manpower will not be utilized by any participants.
5) For any guidance, suggestion or clarification will be required by
