1. This unit plan is about Richard III. The unit plan focuses on not only reading the play
itself, but also on analyzing the major themes and characters in the play. Using different modes
of technology, like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and several others, I will be teaching a
group of eleventh graders about the play. I will also teach them how to interact with the play, the
themes and the characters in the play in a different way from just the traditional way of reading
and analyzing the play. Students will use several different modes of media to show how they
interpret the play and will be evaluated on how their creativeness as well as their ability to
convey their ideas in a clear and concise way.
