Christmas Day Christmas is celebrated December 25 th . The day Jesus was born from the Virgin Mary. Christmas Eve, December 24 th  is also celebrated. The way it is celebrated usually is by family tradition.
Decorations Many families decorate inside and outside their houses to fill the neighborhood and city with Christmas spirit. Many decorations include light, statues, stockings, and giant snow globes.
Christmas Trees Christmas trees are usually fir trees and are decorated with lights, ornaments, and garland. An angel or a star is also placed at the top to show that the day Jesus was born angels and stars were hosting.
Poinsettias Poinsettias are traditional flowers for the Christmas time of the year. Poinsettias are only sold in a six week period around Christmas.
Jesus in the manger Jesus in the manger also known as the nativity scene, is very popular.  The night Jesus was born this was the scene with the Angels, Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus, all the animals and the Wise Men
Santa Claus Santa Claus, originally came from the name Father Christmas and in Dutch is Sinter Claas, and gradually changed to Santa Claus in the US.  Americans painted the image of Santa Claus as having a white beard, dressed him in a red suit and made him a cheery old gentlemen with red rosy cheeks and a twinkle in his eye.
Presents Christmas is supposed to be a time of giving and receiving therefore Americans usually buy presents for loved ones and give and receive from many.
