1. CHP EVENT in SAN FRANCISCO
Hello Team,
I wanted to share with you the awesome
opportunity we were a part of thanks to
Armando Jimenez, Douglas Smith and Taylor
Nolan.
Per the request of Officer David Juricich #13684
California Highway Patrol, Golden Gate Division
we provided a driver (Dzemail Terovic) a bobtail
and a mock logbook for the members of the
Judicial Council to get a hands on training
session. The training session was to help train
judges to understand and interpret court
evidence submitted by commercial enforcement
officers. It was well received by the
participants. The photos provided capture the
interaction of the class.
Both
the driver and I got to experience the human
side of the judicial world. The driver thanked
me repeatedly for the opportunity to be a part
of the event. He thought it was educational and
fun.
It was great to hear the communication from
the CHP that they are not trying to shut down
drivers or companies but partner with them to
comply and create safe transportation of goods
over the public roadway. The following pictures
show how the portable scales are used.

2. I was able to get a photo of our driver with both
Officer David Juricich and Officer Brian Brown.
Also to caputre the level of visual attention
provided by the event here is an ending shot for
the day. The event was held infront of the
courthouse on a workday during work hours. I
found it humorous that the officers inside the
building asked for “chocolate milk”. People
passing on the street got to hear how our trucks
are safe to operate and that Berkely Farms is a
great company to work with. I recommend
Dzemail get a chance to speak about this event
in a drivers meeting. He was so glad he was
chosen to be the driver and participate.
Again I want to tank Taylor for all he did to make
this happen. He was key to getting the driver,
and truck together. One of the judges thanked
us for the great contribution. He shared that
this truck and driver could be out making
money but Berkeley Farms made the choice to
forgo profits to help teach the judges how to
better support the commercial community.
I want to thank Doug for the full support
bringing this to reality. I called him on Saturday
to request his involvement and he was
AWESOME in giving direction.
I want to thank Armando for the partnership
you have built with the CHP. Because of your
passion and great people skills you have allowed
the Berkeley team to experience a great
privilege through this partnership. I am so
grateful to have the experience to be mentored
by a true visionary and safety leader in
transportation. I am proud I was able to be a
