China Medical University (CMU) is a state-level key university directly under the administration of China’s Ministry of Education. The University is located in Shenyang, the largest heavy industry base and the political, economic and cultural center of Northeast China. At present, CMU has 26 teaching and research sections, 62 undergraduate programs, 212 master’s degree programs, and 131 doctorate programs. China. At present, CMU has 26 teaching and research sections, 62 undergraduate programs,
212 master’s degree programs, and 131 doctorate programs. CMU has established
cooperative relationships with over 100 universities and research institutions in more than 40

The total number of full-time students at the University is about 38,000, including more than
25,000 undergraduates, more than 10,000 graduate students, and more than 3,000
international students. The University employs about 8,000 full-time faculty members, including
more than 1,600 professors, more than 1,800 associate professors, and more than 2,200
doctoral supervisors. CMU has established four national bases for clinical medicine, basic
medicine, and medical education, as well as a national key laboratory. CMU has established
4 first-level disciplines authorized to award doctoral degrees, 11 first-level disciplines
authorized to award master’s degrees, and 1 national key discipline.
