Leeko Makoene and Portia Mmabatho Morudi started Chilladiddo, a food company that produces chilli sauces and other products using ingredients sourced from rural communities in South Africa. Their goal is to support rural development and empower these communities economically. They have partnered with organizations to help make their business and rural initiatives more sustainable. Some of their projects include an honey farm that provides honey and pollination services to local citrus farms, and plans to convert an unused school into a processing plant. The entrepreneurs aim to showcase what their rural communities have to offer and inspire local youth through business opportunities in agriculture.
